Course Overview
The CIPC certification builds on the foundation of Ampyx Cyber’s renowned NERC CIP Bootcamp course. This program covers all CIP standards in depth, with a particular focus on FERC orders, NERC standards and guidance, and region-specific compliance differences. Participants will engage in practical exercises, case studies, and scenarios designed to prepare them for the real-world challenges of compliance and security.
Certification Process
Enroll in the Ampyx Cyber CIP Bootcamp: Gain access to expert-led sessions, hands-on labs, and comprehensive materials that cover the full spectrum of NERC CIP standards.
Pass the CIPC Exam: Demonstrate your mastery of the material with a rigorous 90-question exam, which you’ll have up to 3 hours to complete. You can use your course workbook and printed NERC materials during the exam, but no internet searches are allowed. A passing score of 85% or higher is required.
Three Free Attempts: Your class/bootcamp purchase includes three attempts to pass the exam. Additional attempts are available for $50 each.
Obtain Your Certification: Upon passing, you’ll receive the Critical Infrastructure Protection Certified (CIPC) designation—a prestigious credential that signifies your expertise in the NERC CIP standards and the entire NERC CIP compliance ecosystem.
Maintaining Your CIPC Certification
To ensure that your knowledge and skills remain current, Continuing Professional Education credits (CPEs) are required to maintain your CIPC certification. You must log 20 CPEs per year in order to renew your certification. Renewal occurs every three years at a cost of $50.
